The Summit Bungalow's remodel transformed it from a basic, all-white space into a luxurious, European-inspired den with a global, collected aesthetic. By incorporating unique custom pieces, sculptural art, and architectural elements, the project created a moody, layered atmosphere that showcased the client's art collection and personal style.
This project includes unique, one-of-a-kind elements like the the custom 9' limestone & metal coffee table and custom loveseat, and incorporating sculptural art pieces into furniture and lighting for a dramatic effect.
Faux-finished ceilings, custom wall treatments, and architectural lighting fixtures are complemented by luxe materials like marble, limestone, and velvet.
The original warhols on the wall reflect soft red & pink hues into a sun-drenched corner of the living space, accompanied by a vintage Robert Van Horn ribbon chair.
In the primary suite, fashion and furniture intertwine, with the incorporation of a special piece by Fendi Casa.
The space is in its essence a blend of European and global influences in design and decor, and showcases the client's art collection throughout.
The primary challenge was to revitalize the existing bungalow while maintaining some original elements. The solution involved adding impactful features without completely gutting the space. Architectural elements, like faux-finished ceilings and custom separations, were used to create a more sophisticated and luxurious feel. The existing kitchen and living room fireplace were retained, allowing the focus to be on enhancing other areas.
